ASER and Akshara Foundation receive the
Excellence in Information Integrity award.
The Information Integrity Coalition (IIC) awarded Pratham a gold award at the
13th annual Excellence in Information Integrity(EII) awards Banquet held on 20
October, 2008. IIC is a not-for-profit organization that promotes awareness and
understanding of Information Integrity. The organisation’s EII Awards Program
recognizes organizations that have made exceptional progress to provide
accurate, consistent and reliable information to their customers, suppliers and
partners.
Pratham’s ASER center received the award for it’s Annual Status of Education
Report(ASER) along with Akhshara Foundation, a member of the Pratham network.
The awards ceremony was held at the Great Hall of Café Brauer in Chicago,
Illinois, USA. All award applications were reviewed by a panel of independent
judges who are advocates of Information Integrity. The judges evaluated
applications based on how the applicant addressed Information Integrity
issues/opportunities, using best practices on a sustained basis producing
demonstrable results.
