GOVERNMENT
PRIMARY SCHOOL, KESHUPURA KHURD, RAIGAR BASTI
Raigar Basti saw its first school ever in March 2003. Thanks!
to the Rs 3.5 lakhs (EUR 7,000) donated by NPL / Novib and
the 300 square yards of land donated by the community with
a hope, a dream of an educated future for the children of
their basti.
GOVERNMENT GIRLS PRIMARY SCHOOL,
SHIVAJI NAGAR
Large number of children got enrolled in 2001
as a result of Pratham activities in Shivaji Nagar area. Consequently
the need for space arose to accommodate children in the school.
Funds worth Rs 2.25 lakhs (EUR 4,500) from NPL / Novib made
it possible to construct a new building on the barren land
available adjacent to the existing school building.
GOVERNMENT GIRLS PRIMARY SCHOOL,
BHATTA BASTI

Funds worth Rs 1.5 lakhs (EUR 3,000) helped solve the severe
space problem Bhatta Basti School was facing. The funds enabled
Pratham to construct a first floor to the existing school
building.
GOVERNMENT UPPER PRIMARY SCHOOL,
VAN VIHAR, IDGAAH
Grants worth Rs 2.5 lakhs (EUR 5,000) enabled
the construction of a school here. Pratham gained recognition
in the eyes of the Van Vihar community because of this construction.
The Government also appreciated this contribution of Pratham.
The inauguration of the school was organized on a large scale
and a former Minister of the Government of India and an eminent
leader of Rajasthan, as well as Dhuru Mian, the ex Nawab of
Loharu and a Member of Rajasthan's Legislative Assembly, graced
the occasion.
GOVERNMENT UPPER PRIMARY SCHOOL, PARSHURAMDWARA,
JAL MAHAL
Lack of space prompted Pratham to construct a double story
school here with the help of Rs 2.5 lakhs (EUR 5,000) donated
by NPL / Novib. The design of the school helped in saving
on the cost of the foundation making the project more economically
viable.
GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOL, KHADDA
BASTI, ADARSH NAGAR
Children were earlier studying under really
dangerous conditions as the school building could collapse
any time due to lack of maintenance. Many a time, classes
were hampered as rain water seeped into the class. Donation
of Rs 3.26 lakhs (EUR 6,500) by NPL / Novib facilitated repair
work and new construction, giving the children a safe &
healthy environment for learning.
