About Pratham

Pratham is an innovative learning organization created to improve the quality of education in India. As one of the largest non-governmental organizations in the country, Pratham focuses on high-quality, low-cost, and replicable interventions to address gaps in the education system. Established in 1995 to provide education to children in the slums of Mumbai, Pratham has grown both in scope and geographical coverage. Pratham is a widely recognized organization, having received notable awards such as the WISE Prize for Innovation, Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, the Henry R Kravis Prize in Leadership, and the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year for Public Service.

Project Summary

Learning with Vodafone is a digital education initiative being implemented by Pratham Education Foundation and funded by Vodafone India Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd. The programme is an innovative teacher-centric technological intervention which is currently working with 2,500+ schools across eight states with the aim of equipping teachers with innovative teaching practices and ability to integrate technology in their classrooms. The programme has developed a holistic teacher portal Gurushala (www.gurushala.co) to take this vision forward.

Position Summary

The incumbent will need to be updated with the trends of social media campaigns to be able to effectively place the program in the digital market. The incumbent should have an understanding of the expectations of the user and ways of communicating solutions. An experience to cater to multi-lingual audience with different aspirations and good research skills to develop content to draw in attention of the user base will be essential for this position. The incumbent will also need to measure impact whether it be quantitative or qualitative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and publish relevant, original, high-quality content (for all channels)
  • Identify and improve organizational development aspects that would improve outreach to program users
  • Develop and implement a plan to use all channels of marketing (social media, SEO, content marketing, email, print and digital marketing)
  • Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
  • Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns
  • Monitor online reviews and respond to each review timely
  • Collects customer data and analyses interactions and visits, and use this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and executive teams

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives in a target driven work environment
  • Good command written and verbal communication (both in English and Hindi)
  • Basic working knowledge of using Microsoft office suite, Google suite
  • Candidates with a visual sense and understanding of platforms like Canva, Photoshop, coral, adobe is preferred

Working Details and Remuneration

  • Remuneration will be commensurate to candidate’s experience and will be within the range of INR 26,000-28,000 gross per month
  • The incumbent will be based in New Delhi and will have to travel regularly across the country
