About Role:

The Tech Project Manager position involves a critical role in integrating and aligning technology products with Pratham’s Early Years programs across India. The responsibilities include collaborating with multiple stakeholders, translating program needs into technical solutions, and overseeing successful implementation while maintaining high-quality standards.

This role is suited for individuals passionate about driving technology solutions for impactful educational programs and contributing to the mission of transforming learning outcomes for children across India.

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Opportunity Analysis

  • Collaborate with Early Years Program stakeholders to gather and document technology requirements.
  • Translate educational program needs into technical specifications, functional requirements, and use cases.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Promote a user-centric approach that prioritizes the needs and experiences of Pratham’s end users, including rural children
  • Facilitate alignment between internal and external teams for cohesive outcomes.

2. Technical Expertise

  • Stay updated on emerging and relevant technologies to leverage them effectively in Pratham’s initiatives.
  • Assess the technical feasibility and constraints of proposed solutions to align with program objectives.
  • Ensure standardization by developing broadly applicable features, avoiding program-specific customizations.

3. Project Management

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery by managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
  • Design and execute pilot programs to test product functionality and backend systems.
  • Ensure defect-free, high-quality deliverables.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to measure success and gather learnings.

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with the ECE and Digital teams for requirements gathering and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated, deliverables are met, and quality standards are upheld.
  • Communicate updates, manage expectations, and address concerns of all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Competencies

Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably Information Technology or a related discipline.

Professional Experience

  • 6-8 years of experience in Technical Project Management, with a preference for candidates with experience in ed-tech or nonprofit sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing software development projects.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with mandatory proficiency in English.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to program locations.
