The Plumbing Program: India’s plumbing industry is one of the key drivers of the country’s service industry. The availability of skilled and technically qualified manpower to service the ever-growing population needs – is seen as a critical area, where there is a gap between the industry’s requirements and supply to the industry. To address this gap, Pratham Education Foundation started vocational skill training in Plumbing Trade in the year 2017, through developing training content in conjunction with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) and WMPSC (Water Management & Plumbing Skill Council).

The syllabus for the Plumbing program at Pratham is in accordance with WMPSC (Water Management & Plumbing Skill Council) partner for the trade. The electives offered in the program include Installation, Repair, Coordination, Environment Health & Safety. Students receive a joint certification from Pratham, NSDC, WMPSC and CSR Partners supporting the program.
