Since 2013, Pratham and ITC have developed a long-standing partnership to improve educational outcomes for children aged 3-14 and provide skill training to people aged 18-35 across 12 states in India. This initiative brings education and vocational training directly to local communities, empowering children and youth for a brighter future.

• The education programs focus on enhancing learning outcomes through four distinct interventions—Anganwadi, Balvachan, Primary and Upper Primary programs—along with different government partnerships in Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Mothers' Groups are a critical component of the Early Years intervention, focused on building strong foundational skills in children. Pratham engages mothers in their children's learning journey through these groups and by regularly sharing remote learning messages.
• The Skilling programs equip youth with industry-relevant skills in areas such as healthcare, electrical, hospitality, automotive, and beauty. A key component of this initiative is setting up community training centres that follow a hub-and-spoke model. These centres enhance accessibility to vocational education, enabling wider community engagement and outreach.

Reach (2024-2025)

Since 2019, Kotak Group has been an integral partner in advancing Pratham’s Vocational Training programs in India. This partnership has empowered over 47,000 youth across 12 states with industry-relevant skills, improving their employability and career prospects. Through its various entities—Kotak Mahindra Prime Ltd. (KMPL), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (KMBL), Kotak Mahindra Investments Ltd. (KMIL) and Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company (KMAMC)—Kotak Group collectively supports training across 11 different vocational trades.

Reach (2024-2025)

Pratham and Vodafone Idea Foundation began its collaboration in 2012 to improve student learning outcomes through technology integration into classrooms. This partnership began with a digital education pilot in 151 schools and, in 2019, led to the launch of Gurushala, an online platform for teachers and students.

Gurushala provides access to educational content, self-paced courses and peer interactions, reaching over 10,00,000 users. By collaborating with governments, the platform supports teacher capacity-building programs, blending pedagogy and technology to improve classroom engagement. Together, Pratham and Vodafone Idea Foundation are driving innovation in education, making learning more inclusive and impactful.

Reach (2019-September 2025)

Since August 2023, Pratham and Community Jameel have been working together to help girls and women who dropped out of school complete Grade 10, opening pathways to further education, skills training and livelihood opportunities.

The Pratham-Jameel Second Chance program aims to double the scale of the program by reaching 10,000 young girls and women across India each year. Each cohort is enrolled for a year, during which they receive academic support to prepare for and take their Grade 10 examinations. In the 2024-2025 academic year, 17,339 girls and women enrolled in the program. Of these, over 9,779 appeared for the exams, and more than 7,000 successfully completed Grade 10.

Reach (August 2023-March 2025)

Pratham and ADP have collaborated since 2014 to implement the Making Impactful Difference at Schools (MIDAS) program in Hyderabad, Telangana, and Pune, Maharashtra. MIDAS enhances foundational literacy and numeracy skills by strengthening government school education and encouraging community involvement.

Targeting children aged 3-14 and beyond, the program uses a multi-tiered approach that includes both in-school and community interventions. It comprises segments such as Early Years, Elementary, Upper Primary, Model Schools, Community Learning Hubs, and the Star Program. Over the past decade, MIDAS has focused on holistic education and continuous learning, implementing initiatives across Pune and Hyderabad through direct work and district-wide Early Years government partnerships in Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy, and Hyderabad.

Reach (2024-2025)

Since 2019, Shriram has partnered with Pratham to advance automotive skills training, reaching over 10,800 youth across nine districts in seven states through the Shriram-Pratham Automotive 2W Skilling Centres. What sets Shriram’s program apart is its commitment to inclusivity and skill development, exemplified by women-only batches designed to empower women in the traditionally male-dominated automotive sector.

In 2023-2024, nearly 150 women enrolled in the course through women-only and open-for-all batches. Additionally, 82% of students belong to reserved categories under India’s Affirmative Action Plan. Shriram’s efforts provide technical expertise while creating a more inclusive industry, paving the way for sustainable livelihoods and greater opportunities for all participants in the ShriramPratham Centres.

Reach (2024-2025)

Since 2024, Pratham, in partnership with Siemens Stiftung and Siemens India, has been implementing the STEM Education for Innovation: Experimento India project to strengthen Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education for school children through hands-on, inquiry-based learning on themes such as energy, environment, and health.

The program focuses on creating and disseminating Open Educational Resources (OERs) in multiple Indian languages while also training teachers and orienting parents and volunteers to support meaningful, engaging STEM learning.

More than 200 OERs have been developed in English, Marathi, and Hindi languages. These resources have reached over 2,500 children in Pune and Mumbai under a "Test and Learn" model. In the coming years, Experimento India aims to reach more than 55,000 students across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa, Haryana, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu.

Since 2018, Sarva Mangal Family Trust (SMFT) has been a visionary partner in advancing Pratham’s tech-led education innovations. From supporting early pilots in voice-based learning and multilingual content, SMFT has enabled Pratham to build inclusive tools that reach learners in even the remotest areas.

During the pandemic, SMFT’s timely support helped digitise content, disseminate tablets, strengthen the PraDigi Open Learning Model, and scale hybrid models like DigiMitra, while also backing the creation of low-tech, regional learning apps. Over time, the partnership has expanded to AI-driven assessments, digital skilling for youth, and creative toolkits—bridging foundational learning with future-ready skills.

With the anchor support of SMFT, strengthened by contributions from other partners, Pratham has been able to extend its reach significantly.

Reach (2018-2025)

Adobe and Pratham’s partnership began in 2017 with support for Urban Learning Centres in Delhi, focusing on remedial education for children in Grades 3 to 7. In 2019-2020, Adobe extended its support through the Creativity Grant to Pratham’s Hybrid Learning Program, contributing to the development of the Open Learning model. Building on this momentum, in 2022-2023, Adobe supported the expansion of the Open Learning model through the Creativity Club Program, which scaled from 800 to 4,000 communities and then in 2023-2025 to 100,000 children across 10,000 villages and 2,500 schools in 16 states. This growth was driven by Pratham’s ‘All-Some-Few’ model, designed to deliver Creative Learning Opportunities at scale. Together, Adobe and Pratham remain committed to reimagining and expanding access to creative learning for children and youth across India.
